Liquid Sun?

More years ago than I want to admit to I would lay out in the sun on a blanket in my back yard. Protection? Who knew of protection from the harmful UV rays? I never used a sunscreen, in fact I heard that iodine and baby oil would speed my tan so I covered myself head to toe in it.Because of my years basking in the sun, I damaged my skin. (We knew so little about the harm from excessive sun tanning then.)

The oils in our skin interact with ultraviolet rays and create Vitamin D. Once you become tanned, however, these rays are blocked. So the very thing we were working hard to get the tan (the sign of good health) is stopping us from getting the much needed nutrients? Vitamin D helps to regulate nutrients that aid in the maintenance of our bones and teeth while regulating our blood pressure. Vitamin D also helps to protect us from certain cancers. Wait, didn't my doctor warn me of contracting skin cancer from being in the sun?

My doctor has made me afraid to spend time in the sun without a sun block. Several of my friends carry sunblock also, but there is a natural Vitamin contained in the sunshine that we are missing out in. I read about Bio D-Mulsion the other day. It is compared to liquid sunshine. I am always on the look out for supplements that are the closest to the real thing so I plan to do my research.

If you decide to lay out in the sun, don't lay out too long. Don't lay out between the hours of 10:00 to 2:00 and take some Oregano Oil with you for when the mosquito bites. The good thing about Oregano Oil is that it is natural and can aid in the treatment of a multitude of complaints from allergies to warts.

Take care, stay well and God bless.

I love the sun, but can't be out in it for long now that I'm older, I would get headache!

I'm sorry, Icy, it does not give me a head ache, but I've been warned of skin damage.

I love the sun too, but like Icy, I get headaches if I am out in it too long. I didn't know that Vitamin D can help prevent cancer. I am going to have to make sure that I have Vitamin D all of the time.

CA, thanks for the visit. Yes, Vitamin D can help protect us from cancer.

Take care & God bless.
