Thankful Thursday - Bubble Baths

If you love to soak in a bubble bath after a stressful day you may be doing more for yourself than you realize.

Throw into the mix some rose oil and Epsom salt and you are doing much more to benefit your body.

Rose oil fragrance is beneficial in soothing and harmonizing the mind, helping with anger, depression, grief, fear, stress, and nervous tension. It has been used for years for poor circulation and heart problems as well as high blood pressure, and digestive disorders. For more on the benefits of rose oil read here.

Epsom salt is one of those wonderful nutritional supplements that can be absorbed through the skin so even in soaking in a warm bath you are reaping the benefits. In the article How to Use Epsom in a Number of Ways you will find more information about the benefits of magnesium.

Magnesium is useful in the treatment of asthma, COPD, fibromyalgia, ADD, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, angina, cardiac arrhythmia, congestive heart failure, fatigue, kidney stones, migraine and tension headaches, complications due to pregnancy and premenstrual syndrome. Our bodies cannot properly use serotonin without the assistance of magnesium. Serotonin is a natural chemical created within the brain responsible for feelings of well being and relaxation.

So next time you enjoy in a little indulgence such as a relaxing bubble bath know that you are not only rewarding your mind but your body. Enjoy!

I loved bubble baths especially when I was a flight attendant. It's so relaxing whenever you come from a tiring long flight. It's good for circulation; prevents varicose veins too.

Carmen, I think I'll go enjoy one now. :-)

I've been to your blog several times and really like it, but every time I try to leave a comment it won't let me. It asks for a security string but I can't find the submit link.

Take care & God bless.

Great information on the Epsom salt Judy. Soaking is a tub is something I occasionally do when we are on vacation but rarely at home.

Judy, it is an indulgence I truly enjoy. There are many ways to use and benefit from Epsom salt other than bathing.

Take care & God bless.
