Thankful Thursday - Employment

My youngest son, Chris, often referred to as Baby Boy, sat next to me in church the other day. He likes cuff links and was proud to show off his new cufflinks. He even let me take a picture. :-) There is fifteen years between him and my oldest son, so it is with special pride that I call him Baby boy. There won't be any other babies...but let's not wander any more.

This post is about employment. Other than being unemployed for the last year and a half, he has been employed since 15. I have worked since 12. While there may be days and jobs we do not relish, we are truly grateful for employment. We joke about work being a four lettered word. If only I could make decent money writing...I'm sure there are many of you who have an idea of your dream job, but in the mean time; thank God for employment! The job keeps a roof over our head and food in our fridge. He starts his new job tomorrow. He will be working with my good friend, Jeannie. Wish Chris well with his new job and thanks so much for visiting me today.

Take care and God bless!

When I take in smaller blessings, I'm grateful to God. It's not easy finding a job, or making money nowadays!

Boy, Mumsy, you got that right. The job didn't work out; yet anyway...

I agree that during these times, it is not easy to earn money. I wish your son all the luck in the world on his new job. I'm sure he will do a great job.

So far he hasn't got the job. It was a false "alarm". They said they'll call, then Baby girl went to the hospital with labor pains and was sent home...It's all in God's time.

I am so grateful for having a job too. It's tough.
