Thankful Thursday - Individuality

While some may not mind using the services of other blog sites and being limited to choose from their offered headers, I appreciate that Google allows us to create our own. Most of us bloggers have a fascination for photography and pretty or unique photos. If we select a photo from the one offered it just doesn't seem the same to me. Certain things draw your attention and cause you to want to stop and snap their picture. This is why we have photos that speak to us. I see some beautiful photos displayed in headers, in my blogging visits. Some are of loved ones, some of loved things, but they show something of the administrator's personality.

I have a passion for discovering alternative health methods. My journeys have brought me so much information about plants and foods that I want to share the information. I want to see everyone live longer and healthier. I want my header to reflect my interests. Icy, BC has written a wonderful article about creating your own header. She must have been thinking about people like me as I need step by step instructions to follow the first few times I do this myself. I've linked her article, if you are like me and need help. :-)  The pictures are some of the ones I am toying with and trying to decide upon.

I am glad you are all individuals. I enjoy this smorgasboard of ideas and embrace the unique differences you each offer. My questions are:

Does a blog header speak to you?

What does it say?

This post linked to Thursday Two Questions! Thanks for visiting me! Take care and God bless!

Loved the pictures, what is the first one called. We have in the front yard. We have more of it than grass in some places. What is it good for?

Pam, it has several uses. It is an astringent, and also can be used to soften your skin in the bath. My article is here: http://www.blogger.com/%20http://healthmad.com/alternative/some-of-the-many-health-benefits-of-creeping-charlie/

I have links to all those herbs in my side bars. Thanks and God bless!

Hi there..I would have to agree with you..and it doesn't seem to be the same. Mine usually end up flowers and sometimes correlate to the post?
Your herbs are intriguing..I'll have to come back and check them out more.
Have a great weekend-

1. Yes it does. As a photographer it is the first thing that catches my eye and speaks to me.

2. It depends what the header displays. It can say many different things.

You know I love blog header photos, they definitely speak to me. Most of my blog friends are photographers and it's always fun to see their new header photos.

There are some of my blog friends who change their header photos daily as part of their post. Others, like me, as the mood strikes them usually once or twice a week. The header tell the viewer a little about the blogger without saying a single word. It's also like redecorating one's house, it gives everything a fresh look.

I think from most comments, everyone agrees that the header speaks to them. I believe it's a essential to choose a header that is most descriptive to what the blog or what the artist is about.

I had to log out because my computer froze. The header is the first thing someone sees, they need to be able to identify what the blog is about.
Thanks for linking and participating, great questions.

Well, my dear, you already know that changing the header to reflect our blog, or personality speaks great volume to me..

Thanks for linking that article, Judy!

Oh yes, blog headers definitely speak to me. They are full of symbol and say as much as words about the content of the blog and the personality of the blogger.

The header is important , that's why I decided I have to change mine, and for the moment it's blank, I just want to create something that when someone visits my blog will think it might be worth looking around, so I think it's first impression :)

The header is what captivated my attention. It doesn't have to reflect the blog for me, but it has to be something that I can say WOW to!

Looking forward to see your new header at my next visit as you have many nice photo collections. I have been toying the idea of changing my header every month but have not got the time to do it at the moment.

I love beautiful blog headers and designs. It does show some of the person's personality.

I love changing mine according to my need for something else to see for awhile, but it has to be something beautiful and welcoming.

You have beautiful photos here!
