This beautiful flower reseeds itself and can be used for a multiple of purposes, however it is the roots and not the seeds that are used similarly to its cousin echinachea purpurea:
- as an astringent used in a warm infusion for snake bites, sores and swelling.
- used as a poultice for treating worms and colds in children.
- used as a diuretic.
- used to create an ear drop solution.
