Thankful Thursday - Nature's Colors

Anyone who knows  me knows that I am in absolute awe of mother nature. Mari affectionately calls me a sky stalker... On my lunch half hour I often gaze out the window and snap pictures. Some people see the beauty and others see a kooky woman taking pictures. :-) This is the golden rain tree that I did not even know existed until I started working at this job in 2007. Before that I was busily working inside a discount store tending stock and customers while managing employees, and before that and before that...It was always something which kept me inside away from windows.:-)

As I gaze out the window I am reminded that a God who creates such beauty is alive and well working to make the world just a little bit more beautiful even as us humans are carelessly wasting resources. I wonder if I were He would I run out of patience? Probably long ago!! I remember how when the kids were little and they dropped things around the house, I would ask them to come back and clean up their mess. I kept asking until it was done.  Us humans have made a fine mess of things.

You have heard the debates about the greenhouse effect, right? We had to write a debate article on this topic and I already believed in it but was even more convinced when I read about some of the devastation created by our thoughtlessness.

1. Do you believe in the greenhouse effect?
2. Why or why not?

Please stop in at Amanda's and join the conversation there. We are celebrating the 61st week!! Wow, awesome job Amanda on Thursday Two Questions!

Thanks so much for your visit. Take care and God bless!

Judy, I love your second photo with the golden leaves on the blue sky.

Yes!

If we pour gases into our atmosphere it will obviously have a negative effect on our environment. Science supports it.
A good example is the storm hitting the western coast of Alaska right now. These storms are normal but in the past the sea ice has helped to protect the land and lessen the storms effects. Now the sea ice is not there to give that protection. Climate change has caused this.

1) I believe in the greenhouse effect.

2) It's the circle of life, and like they said you reap what you sow..

I am not sure Judy, really. It's hard to not see the sutble changes, but then again, it's also hard to think that there is anything else but god having something to do with it.

beautiful images, Judy. I especially like the combination of colors in the second one.
1. yes, I do believe in the green house effect, a natural phenomenon that helps warm the Earth, without it, life on Earth will be very hard to exist. However, the ongoing debate for years is the more pronounced and enhanced green house effect that is caused by human activities and carelessness.
2. Oops, I did not know I already answer #2 :)

I love your pictures. That is great that you get the chance to look out your office window and take such breathtaking pictures.

Unfortunately, I have to admit that I am not too familiar with the greenhouse effect. I need to become more aware of it though.
