Thankful Thursday - Weddings

I love beautiful weddings! How about you? Chris and Mariolina are planning to renew their vows one year and have the wedding she has always dreamed about. I was so grateful that the young lovebirds just stood before a court official and got married last year while I was on vacation. It was such an unselfish act of love, allowing me the privilege of being there, but I understand her desire to have her big day, and think that even my son desires something more elaborate. What man does not want to see his beloved in a beautiful gown and every other man in the room turning to admire his bride?

Mari and I have talked about weddings. She has watched special shows on television dedicated to dream weddings, one of which has an ongoing contest to actually help plan your dream wedding. We have browsed through magazines checking out the dress styles and floral arrangements. A wedding is truly many dreams come true and many plans culminated into one eventful day.

I might not get to travel out of state to actually see this big day but am grateful for sharing in her planning. I lucked up on finding a beautiful site which offers some exquisitely designed floral arrangements. It offers flower delivery in metro Denver, but not only flower delivery but they offer a free consultation and ask that you just log into to chat with them about your upcoming special day. They work with the couple to offer  unique floral arrangements Denver. Every couple deserves their own unique and special day.

1. What do you wish you could do differently about your wedding day?

2. What do you particularly like about what you or someone you know did at theirs?

This post linked to Two Questions Thursday. Please join us at Amanda's. The coffee is on and the conversation flowing. Come on over!

I only wish to be married in church, and with some close friends and family. No big party or anything..

Having a big fancy wedding is every girl's dream. I was just contented with my city hall wedding, and crossed my fingers for the best.

Nice post, Judy. Both of our girls has had nice weddings although the older's was really not a wedding because they had the J.P. do it a month before. The younger ran away to Las Vegas but we and her in-laws and grandmother were also runaways to the Las Vegas wedding.

The three boys also were fortunate to have found ladies who wanted and were able to have nice weddings. One of the twins found two ladies, one at a time! The other (rich) one got married at an old plantation in Barbados. Only Mrs. Jim and I and the bride's mother and sister were in attendance there.
1. What do you wish you could do differently about your wedding day?
Be on time. I was an hour late and Mrs. Jim cried about that. My father got lost trying to come get me. Finally my best man rescued the both of us so the wedding could start.

2. What do you particularly like about what you or someone you know did at theirs?
One couple had communion. They passed around two loaves of bread, one on each side. I can't remenber what they did if different for the wine part.
That was really nice.
