Empty no more

Heartbroke

Eyes full of loneliness
Since his death an emptiness
Never the same again
~

Her heart was heavy
She cried and cried endlessly
What will become of me?
~
A life once vibrant
Full of joy and energy
Now still and empty
~
But once God restores
Emptiness is no more
Life restores anew
~

Kristjaan offers a daily haiku challenge, called carpe diem and as much as I love to follow his lead, the daily challenge will not fit in my hectic schedule. I am glad for the opportunity to visit his blog whenever I get the chance and post my submission. Try it you may find it addictive too. In visiting other haiku offerings I came across another delightful blog which offers creative haiku called haiku My Heart. (Maybe my job will cut back on the mandatory overtime and life can regain some normalcy??!!) :-)  Our haiku adds just a touch more beauty to a busy and hectic schedule and I hope you enjoy them.

Thank you for your visit. Take care, stay healthy and God bless.

Such sad and heartfelt emptiness in your first two haiku. The last one a ray of hope. Empty always used to be sad until I learned to empty thoughts for relaxation. Nicely done with the prompt.
