Tap into Turmeric

Tis for Turmeric. It is what gives the bright yellow hue to mustard. It is the spice/herb that has allowed me to give up taking Advil. It is a powerful anti-inflammatory and has completely removed my arthritis pain helping me to keep up with my tons of grandkids. :-). It provides mustard with the Tantalizing Tang.

I take 1 capsule a day and can move completely pain free. Don’t listen solely to my testimonial.

Here are some others:

It is recommended highly by Andrew Weil, MD in Spontaneous Healing to assist in the treatment of autoimmune arthritis, fibromyalgia and musculoskeletal pain.

New Choices in Natural Healing written by the editors of Prevention Magazine  recommends turmeric for the treatment of:
  • athlete’s foot
  • boils
  • bunions
  • calluses and corns
  • fibrocystic breast disease
  • hemorrhoids
  • sore throats
  • sprains
Turmeric is similar to ginger root.

We use the rhizome and ground it to be used in seasonings, teas, supplements and commonly in mustard. It  protects against toxins, slows down platelet aggregation, lowers cholesterol and is a powerful antibiotic, anticancer, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant – (this from the Prescription for Nutritional Healing by James F Balch, MD and Phyllis A Balch, CNC.)
My favorite herbalist, James A Duke, PhD in Anti-Aging Prescriptions testifies about the usefulness of turmeric in:
  • preventing: cancer, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis
  • protecting the liver
  • strengthening the immune system
  • treating aches, pains, angina, bunions, corns, chronic pain, diabetes, dry skin and dermatitis, high cholesterol and osteoarthritis.

I am glad turmeric helps you with your pain! I've been taking it for over 2 years now, and can't feel any significant different.

Great info, Judy!

I had been in the habit of sprinkling tumeric into different dishes. Thanks for the reminder to take it back out of my spice cabinet!
