The bloom of love

Gerbera daisy

"Even thou who mournst the daisy's fate, That fate is thine--no distant date; Stern Ruin's ploughshare drives, elate, Full on thy bloom, Till crushed beneath the furrow's weight Shall be thy doom!"
Robert Burns Quotes , Source: To a Mountain Daisy

"All summer she scattered the daisy leaves; They only mocked her as they fell. She said: "The daisy but deceives; 'He loves me not,' 'he loves me will,' One story no two daisies tell." Ah foolish heart, which waits and grieves Under the daisy's mocking spell."
Helen Hunt Jackson (Helen Hunt) Quotes , Source: The Sign of the Daisy

"The daisy's for simplicity and unaffected air."
Robert Burns Quotes , Source: O Luve Will Venture In

The Gerbera daisy (Gerbera jamesonii), Barberton Daisy or Transvaal daisy, is truly beneficial for "unaffected air" known to purify the air. This is a superb flower for cutting with a wide variety of colors. It is rather picky about soil nutrition needing a highly organic soil, however. It is propagated by seeds which should be gently pressed in soil and allowed to warm by the light.

Thank you - I never knew the Gerbera Daisy purified the air. We have grown it here sometimes but I've never thought to cut them and bring them in.

I love daisies. They're delicate and as you said need highly organic soil. But they do give so much warmth they give to each garden and home.

Thank you for sharing words and flowers in your post.
I like Gerberas, but somehow I mistreat them and they die.
May this day be of the best kind.
